All questions
Is Paper Desk free?
Yes. You can build, print and download papers without paying and without creating an account. The site is supported by advertising.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. There are no accounts. Open the paper maker and start.
Where are my papers saved?
Only in your own browser, on the device you are using, in the browser's IndexedDB storage. They are not uploaded to Paper Desk or to any server, so nobody else can open them.
Will my papers be lost if I clear my browser data?
Yes. Clearing site data or cookies in your browser, or using a different browser or device, means the saved papers are not there. To keep a paper safe, export it as a paper file and import it again when you need it. Keep that file as a backup.
Can I open my paper on another computer?
Export the paper as a file on the first computer, copy the file across, and import it on the second. Papers do not move by themselves, because nothing is stored online.
What kinds of questions can I add?
MCQs with four options, fill in the blanks, true or false, match the columns, one-word answers, short questions, long questions with parts (a), (b), comprehension passages, translation, essay or letter, picture or diagram questions, numerical questions with working space, and rearrange or correct questions.
Does Paper Desk have ready-made questions from textbooks?
No. Paper Desk is a paper maker, not a question bank. You type or paste your own questions, and the layout is built for you. You are responsible for the questions you use.
Can I make a paper in Urdu?
Yes. A paper can be in English, in Urdu (Nastaliq, right to left), or in both languages side by side. Paste Unicode Urdu text. Text copied from InPage is often not Unicode and may need to be retyped. See the guide on Urdu and bilingual papers.
Can I write maths and chemistry formulas?
Yes. You can add maths and chemistry formulas to your questions, and they print and export as you see them in the preview.
Can I set "attempt any" and compulsory questions?
Yes. You can say that students attempt any N questions of a section, or mark a question as compulsory. You set the marks of each question, and the totals are added automatically.
Which paper sizes and layouts are supported?
A4, Letter and Legal. A compact layout fits many questions on a page, and you can print two copies of a short paper on one page.
How can I print or save my paper?
You can print it, download a PDF, or download the pages as pictures (PNG or JPG) in a ZIP file. For the best print, use 100% or actual size in the print window. See printing and saving your paper.
Can I get an answer key or a bubble sheet?
Yes. You can add an answer key page and an OMR bubble answer sheet for your MCQs. See making an answer key and marking scheme.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Partly. After you have opened the site once, your browser keeps its own files so the paper maker can open again when you are offline. The first visit, and any later update to the site, need a connection. Ads and analytics need a connection too.
What do ads and analytics see?
The site shows Google ads and may use Google Analytics, under the cookie bar where you can accept or decline. Analytics never receives the content of your papers. Read the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
I found a mistake or want a new feature. Who do I tell?
Write to paperdesk@whisperperks.com. The contact page says what to include.
